James Levi Cole   
(September 23, 1987 – May 29, 2021)

James Levi “StuDders” Cole, 33, of Shelbyville, IL, passed away Saturday, May 29, 2021 in his residence.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home. Following the memorial service, a celebration of life will be held at Josh’s house in Sullivan. Memorials may be given to Saving Orphaned Animals Shelby County.

Levi was born on September 23, 1987 in Joplin, MO, the son of Mark R. Cole and Tawnia M. Konwinski. He was a graduate of Shelbyville High School in the Class of 2006 and worked in the construction business. Levi enjoyed writing poetry, making art, and listening to metal music.

Levi is survived by his father, Mark Cole of Shelbyville, IL; mother, Tawnia Goad of Pierce City, MO; step-father, Troy Goad of Neosho, MO; step-mother DeAnn Cole of Olympia, WA; brothers, Joshua “Zach” Boyle (Lacey Beeson) of Sullivan, IL, and Jimm Michael Cole (Breanne Starwalt) of Sullivan, IL; sisters, Kodi Cole of Mansfield, TX, and Hanna Goad of Joplin, MO; grandmothers, Sue Bearden of Joplin, MO, and Penney Owen (Tim) of Pierce City, MO; many nieces, nephews and cousins; his cat, Huxley, and his dog, Luka-Pela.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Randi Hostetler; and grandfathers, Jimm Cole and Joe Bearden.
