Michael B. “Mike” Lehman 

(July 12, 1953 – June 20, 2024)

Michael Blaine “Mike” Lehman, 70, of rural Assumption, IL, passed away on Thursday morning, June 20, 2024, at his home after a battle with cancer.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 29, 2024, in Little Flock Cemetery, 1180 E 2350 North Rd, Assumption, IL 62510, with Pastor Chad Buhman officiating. Memorials may be given to Grace Baptist Church of Moweaqua, IL.  Arrangements are by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home in Shelbyville, IL.

Mike was born on July 12, 1953, in Shelbyville, IL, the son of Samuel B. and Helen L. (Sporleder) Lehman.  He attended Findlay and Moweaqua schools.  Mike trusted Jesus as his Savior as a boy and was an active member of Grace Baptist Church of Moweaqua.  He worked for Sloan’s Implement in Assumption for almost 30 years, retiring in 2023.  Mike enjoyed attending sales and was a thoughtful gift giver to his family members.  His other interests were gardening, caring for his fruit trees, and fishing. 

Mike is survived by his 102 year old mom, Helen Lehman of rural Assumption; five sisters, Delores Sloan of Pana, Rosie (Gary) Shuck of Assumption, Mary Ellen (Tim) Gillett of Moweaqua, Janice (Bruce) Cooper of Victoria, TX and Tammy (Dennis) Jungles of Freeport; three brothers, Phil (Mary) Lehman of Moweaqua, Joe (Roberta) Lehman of Macon and John (Brenda) Lehman of Decatur; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Sam Lehman in 1976, and brother-in-law, Ronnie Sloan.
