Donna Lou Jones, 71, of Shelbyville, IL, passed away at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 6, 2017 in her home in Shelbyville, IL.

A visitation for friends and family will be from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 9, 2017 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL. A funeral service for her family will follow at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, with Rev. Sid Hutchinson officiating. Burial will be in Hubbartt Cemetery, Beecher City, IL. Memorials may be given to Saving Orphaned Animals, Shelbyville, IL.

Donna was born in Mt. Pulaski, IL on June 12, 1946, the daughter of Louis Donald Moore and Annabelle Floriene (Dayhuff) Moore. Donna attended Beecher City High School and graduated in 1964. She was a homemaker and loved working around her home and yard. She especially enjoyed feeding the birds and squirrels. Donna married Joe D. Jones on February 6, 1982. He died on October 9, 2007.

She is survived by her daughters, Carol Sarver (Mike Bauman) of Shelbyville, IL and Kimberly Rueter of Hartville, IL; son, David Sarver (Tonya) of Shelbyville, IL; sisters, Barb Steele (Roger) of Beecher City, IL, and Jwana Kretzinger (Roger) of Mt. Pulaski, IL; brothers, Jim Moore (Cindy) of Cowden, IL, Val Moore (Rose) of Emden, IL, and Mike Moore (Denise) of Denver, CO; and 5 grandchildren, Eric, Nakayla, Devin, Chris, and Dylan, and 3 great grandchildren, Taylor, Rhiann, and Bryden.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe; daughter, Jessica Jones; brother, Gary Lee Moore; and grandson, Nathaniel Sarver.
