Andrew L. Cisna

Andrew L. “Andy” Cisna, 62, of Shelbyville, IL, passed away at 5:39 p.m. Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, IL.
A memorial graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 9, 2022 at Glenwood Cemetery, Blyman Addition, with Rev. Nathan Woolery officiating. Military Rites will be conducted by the Shelby County Honor Guard. Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 13, 2022 in Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield, IL. Memorials may be given to Shelbyville V.F.W. Post #4829 Scholarship Fund. Arrangements are by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL.
Andy was born on June 13, 1960 in Shelbyville, IL, the son of Levi Edward and Effie Ann (Smith) Cisna. He graduated from Shelbyville High School in the Class of 1978. Andy served in the United States Army from 1982-1992, which included Operation Desert Storm. He later graduated from IUPUI in 2006 with a degree in Forensic Accounting. Andy worked as general manager for FESSI, Inc. in Mattoon, IL. Andy was a member of Shelbyville V.F.W. Post #4829, where he served as Post Commander. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, playing in the APA Pool League, and watching the Atlanta Braves.
Andy is survived by his sons, Kris Cisna of Mattoon, IL, and Drew Cisna (Jennifer Houck) of Shelbyville, IL; daughter, Jaclyn Frederick (Wes) of Shelbyville, IL; brothers, Carl Cisna (Grace) of Ft. Wayne, IN, and David Cisna (Frieda) of Mattoon, IL; sister, Betsy Bratz of Kissimee, FL; and eight grandchildren, Madison Cisna, Chloe Frederick, Zoe Frederick, Josee Frederick, Stella Cisna, Chevelle Cisna, Cade Houck and Cole Banning.
He was preceded in death by his father, Levi Cisna; mother, Effie Mills; and half-sister, Dorothy Eland and her husband, William.
