Beulah M. Mears 
(January 24, 1926 – June 7, 2021)

Beulah Maurine Mears, 95, of Shelbyville, IL, passed away at 5:02 a.m. Monday, June 7, 2021 in Shelbyville Manor.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 9, 2021 in Glenwood Cemetery, Section B.  Arrangements are by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL. Memorials may be given to the General Dacey Trail and mailed to Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, 415 N. Broadway, Shelbyville, IL 62565.

Beulah was born on January 24, 1926 in rural Findlay, IL, the daughter of Bertie Elisha and Nancy Caroline (Davis) Bryson.  She graduated from Shelbyville High School in the Class of 1943.  Beulah married Lee Robert “Bob” Mears on September 15, 1944.  They lived in California for 26 years, Missouri for 8 years, and then moved to Shelbyville, Illinois in 1978.  She enjoyed traveling with her husband and being outdoors. 

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Phyllis Lee of Findlay, IL; two nephews, Chuck Bryson (Ann) of McAllen, TX and Tim Bryson (Bev) of Mattoon, IL; several other nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bob Mears; two sons, Richard Mears in 1947 and Charles Robert Mears, who was killed in Vietnam on June 16, 1967; brother, Charles Levi Bryson (Marge); brother-in-law, Richard L. “Dick” Mears; and sisters-in-law, Jean Ann Anleitner, Mary Jo Mears and Carol Lou Mears.
