Burl F. Huffer, Jr., 89, of Shelbyville, IL, passed away at 8:45 p.m. Monday, February 19, 2018 in Shelbyville Manor, Shelbyville, IL.

A graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Glenwood Cemetery in Shelbyville, IL with Rev. Dan Seibert as officiant and military rites by the Shelby County Honor Guard. Casual attire is requested. Memorials may be given to the First Presbyterian Church of Shelbyville, IL, for their Last Saturday Luncheon. Arrangements are by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL.

Burl “Junior” was born on September 17, 1928 in Shelbyville, IL, the son of Burl Franklin and Grace Cecilia (Miller) Huffer. He graduated from Shelbyville High School the Class of 1946. Junior was a veteran of the United States Army. He worked for Leach-Wilson Chevrolet-Buick and M.J. Wilson Auto Company, both in Shelbyville, IL. He was baptized in the First United Methodist Church in Shelbyville, IL, where he was also a member.

He is survived by his sister, Betty Lou Rosine of Gays, IL; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother-in-law, Charles Junior Rosine.
