Irma Dihel

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 1, 2018 in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL with Rev. Dan Seibert officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be donated to the First United Methodist Church, Shelbyville, IL. Arrangements by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL.
Irma was born on June 3, 1925 in Shelbyville, IL, the daughter of Frank and Wintress (Shutt) Dihel. She graduated from Shelbyville High School in the Class of 1943 and Sparks College in Shelbyville, IL. Irma was retired from the State of Illinois, Department of Employment Security.
She is survived by her nephew, Joseph A. Hughes, Jr. of Riverside, CA; niece, Patricia Zavosky of Alexandria, VA; and five great nephews, Sean and Brian Hughes and Stephen, Andrew, and Michael Zavosky.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and three sisters, Vera Dihel Shuff, Marian Dihel Herreid and Jean Dihel Hughes.
