Margaret E. Garner

Margaret Ellen “Maggie” Garner, 73, of Shelbyville, IL, passed away at 8:36 p.m. Saturday, January 6, 2024 in St. John’s Hospital, Springfield, IL.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, 415 N. Broadway, Shelbyville, IL 62565. Memorials may be given to Saving Orphaned Animals, Shelbyville, IL and mailed to the funeral home.
Maggie was born on May 8, 1950 in St. Louis, MO. She was the daughter of George B. and Bernice M. (Weedon) Gray. Maggie graduated from Shelbyville High School in the Class of 1968 and held several administrative positions throughout her career. Maggie loved her dogs and enjoyed working on various art projects.
She is survived by her two sons, Neil Oliver (Kari) of Shorewood, WI and Christopher Oliver of Chicago, IL; and three granddaughters, Grace and Haley Oliver and Jessica Oliver.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and former husband, Don Oliver.
