Agnes A Roellig

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday in St. Paul Cemetery, Strasburg, with Rev. Michael Mohr officiating. Visitation from 2:00-3:00 p.m. Thursday in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Strasburg. Memorials may be given to Heartland Christian Village, Neoga or St. John’s Lutheran Church, Effingham.
Agnes was born on September 3, 1909 in Strasburg, Illinois, the daughter of Otto and Paulina Dietrich Roellig. She was a housekeeper and nanny for many years. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Effingham.
Surviving are her nieces, Paulena Romero and husband John and Matilda Niccum and husband Gerald all of Effingham; several great nieces and nephews; and several great great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Edward, Martin and Gerhardt; and sister, Ella.
