Amy Jo Donnel, 72, of rural Findlay, IL, passed away at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2018 in her residence.

Family and friends may gather at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 13, 2018 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL. A memorial graveside service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Saturday in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL with Bishop Thomas Suey officiating. Memorials may be given to Soldiers and Dogs, Assumption, IL.

Amy Jo was born on December 20, 1945 in Shelbyville, IL, the daughter of John E. and Margaret E. (Smith) Forcum. She graduated from Cowden High School in the Class of 1963. Amy Jo attended nursing school in Mattoon, IL and was an LPN at Shelby Memorial Hospital for over 40 years. She was a member of Christ Tabernacle in Herrick, IL. Amy Jo enjoyed going to rummage sales and fishing for catfish at the spillway of the Kaskaskia River. She married Kenneth E. Donnel on June 7, 1985.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth; son, Brandon E. Stephens and wife Lauren of Vandalia, IL; daughter, Misty D. Rueff and husband Josh of Cowden, IL; step-son, Michael Donnel and wife Amber of Shelbyville, IL; step-daughters, Suzanne Thomas and husband John of Mattoon, IL, Teresa Spencer and husband Troy of Rosamond, IL; brothers, Ted Forcum and wife Karen, Roger Forcum and wife JoEllyn, and Brad Forcum all of Fancher, IL and Danny Forcum and wife Jackie of Mode, IL; sister, Connie S. Weston and husband Robert of Urbana, IL; mother-in-law, Imogene Donnel of rural Findlay, IL; grandchildren, Bailey Carter and husband Chris, Dalton and Wyatt Rueff, Emma and Toby Stephens; step-grandchildren, Michaela Donnel, Kierstyne Watkins, Sarah, Luke, and Jacob Thomas, and Isaiah, Lilly and Violet Gray; and great grandson, Owen Carter.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Scott Forcum; sister, Lula Lester; father-in-law, Dale Donnel; sister-in-law, Marilyn Smith; and Marilyn’s husband, Robert Smith.
