Barbara A. Lacy

Barbara Ann Lacy , 76, of Joplin, MO, passed away at 7:53 a.m. Sunday, January 30, 2022 in Odd Fellow-Rebekah Home, Mattoon, IL.

Celebration of life services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL. Memorials may be given to Catholic Charities and mailed to Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, 415 North Broadway, Shelbyville, IL 62565.

Barbara was born on September 22, 1945, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, the daughter of Bruce and Vonner (Miller) Allen. She worked as a housing director for the state of Missouri for many years. She enjoyed going to garage sales, watching the Home Shopping Network, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Barbara is survived by her son, James Boyle, Jr. and wife Elle of Portage, IN; daughter, DeAnn Marie Cole of Olympia, WA; brothers, Dale Allen of Fort Smith, AR and Ray Allen of Anchorage, AK; six grandchildren, Joshua “Zach” Boyle (Lacy Beeson) of Sullivan, IL, Jimm Cole (Breanne Starwalt) of Sullivan, IL, Jim Boyle III of Portage, IN, Jessica Kruse (Josh) of Valparaiso, IN; Jamie Boyle of Portage, IN, and Kodi Cole of Mansfield, TX; great grandchildren, Zakry Boyle, Aiden Merriman, Karly Merriman, Jozzy Boyle, Irvin Lawson, Lilly Lawson, Henry Cole, Govana Lopez, Kynadie Gallagher, Kayden Cole, Liam Hostetler, and Finn Cole.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jamie Michael Boyle; granddaughter, Randy Marie Hostetler; and grandson, James Levi Cole.
