Barbara J Cresswell

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 21, 2013 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL with Rev. Greg Breeden officiating. Visitation from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL. Memorials may be given to American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
Barbara was born on November 1, 1944 in Springfield, IL, the daughter of James Edward and Cora Marie Jackson Goben. She graduated from Buffalo-Tri City High School in the Class of 1963. Barbara worked in the cafeteria at Main Street School in Shelbyville for many years. She also worked in the concession stand during the high school football games. Barbara was active in the P.T.A. and P.T.O. and was a Girl Scout leader. She married Joseph Alan Cresswell on June 11, 1964.
She is survived by her husband, Joe; children, Peggy Sue Mulvaney and husband Tulsa of Box Elder, SD and Gregory Micheal Cresswell and fiancée Jeri Lewis of West Lafayette, IN; and three grandchildren, Katrina, Kaitlyn and Kylee Mulvaney all of Box Elder, SD.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Connie Jo Cresswell; brothers, Ralph and Ray Goben; and sisters, Margaret Simmons, Mary Herman, Ruth Wright and Faye Rockhold.
