Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 6, 2012 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville with Rev. Greg Breeden and Rev. Robert Turner officiating. Visitation from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Friday. Casual attire is requested. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville. Memorials may be given to the First Church of the Nazarene in Shelbyville.
Barbara was born on May 15, 1940 in Shelbyville, IL, the daughter of Lawrence Leroy and June Juanita McGinley McConnell. She was a homemaker and life member of the NRA. Barbara attended the First Church of the Nazarene in Shelbyville. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She married Elmer E. Agney.
Surviving are her husband, Elmer; sons, Kelly Agney (Debbie) Lake Havasu, AZ, Kevin Agney of Shelbyville, IL and Kirk Agney (Cathy) of Cowden, IL; daughters, Kim Dove (Pete) of Shelbyville, IL and Karen Agney (Mike) of Windsor, IL; mother, June McConnell of Pana, IL; brother, Jerry McConnell (Linda) of Shelbyville, IL; sister, Carol Campenille (Jim) of Wisconsin; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence McConnell; and daughter, Karla Sue Agney.
