Benjamin B. Keller

Benjamin Blake Keller was born to Rick and Dana Keller on October 18, 1985, and left this life on October 17, 2024. He is greatly loved and missed by his parents; brother, Brendan Keller and wife Brittney; sister, Blair Smith and husband Aaron; and his much-loved nieces and nephews, Emmalin & Evan Smith and Caden & Lowen Keller. 

He was baptized at St. John’s Lutheran Church on October 27, 1985, and later confirmed there on April 16, 2000. He graduated in 2004 from Effingham High School and later earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Eastern Illinois University. 

A few of his favorite past times were fishing, playing disc golf, and being out in nature. 

He joined his special grandparents, Eldo & Marie Tate and Elmer & Marcella Keller in heaven, while being survived by his parents, brother, and sister along with their spouses, nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

The family plans a private memorial service to be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church on a later date. His family is being assisted by Howe & Yockey Funeral Home in Shelbyville, Illinois. Memorials in Ben’s name should be made to St. John’s Eagle’s Nest Preschool or St. John’s Food Pantry and mailed to Howe & Yockey Funeral Home 415 North Broadway, Shelbyville, IL 62565.
