Betty Ann Rincker Giberson , 90, formerly of Shelbyville, IL, passed away at 8:18 p.m. Monday, November 6, 2023 in Carriage Crossing Senior Living, Decatur, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at Howe & Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL, with Rev. Nathan Woolery officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL. Memorials may be given to Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Shelbyville or the Shelby County Honor Guard.

Betty was born on May 23, 1933 in Owensville, MO, the daughter of Jim and Esther Alice (Walls) Cook. She married Gaylord Ferdinand Rincker on August 14, 1949 and he preceded her in death on March 1, 1995. Betty began working at Grigoleit Company in Decatur, IL and later worked with her husband, Gaylord, as bookkeeper for Rincker Tire in Shelbyville. She married Norman Gene Giberson on March 17, 1997, in Millsville, TN, and he preceded her in death on June 9, 2008. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Shelbyville.

Betty is survived by her daughters, Jackie Schoby (Rick) of Decatur, IL, and Sue Borders (Richard) of Sullivan, IL; two granddaughters, Kimberly Blomberg (Scott) of Springfield, IL, and Nicole Nohren (Matt) of Sullivan, IL; and seven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jim Cook; mother, Esther Cook Williams; step-father, Alva C. Williams; husbands, Gaylord Rincker and Norman Giberson; and one grandson, Justin Welton.
