Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 4, 2014 in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Shelbyville, IL with Father Don Wolford as celebrant. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Friday in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL with prayer service at 3:45 p.m. Memorials may be given to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Shelbyville or the Shelby Humane Society.
Betty was born on May 13, 1945 in Granite City, IL the daughter of John and Sophia Kostoff Bero. She graduated from Granite City High School in the Class of 1963. She worked for Switzer Food Company in East St. Louis, IL until her retirement. She married Lee Gary Fackler on November 6, 1971. They moved to Shelbyville in 2007. Betty was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Shelbyville.
She is survived by her husband, Lee; daughter, Renee Lynn Hendrian of Dalton City, IL; three step-daughters in Ohio; six step-grandchildren; and three step-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother.
