Billy R Finefrock

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, with Rev. Jeff Grote officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the Shelby County Honor Guard. Howe and Yockey Funeral Home in Shelbyville is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be given to the Crawford County Humane Society, 911 E. Wilkin St., Robinson, IL 62454.
Mr. Finefrock was born on April 28, 1926 in Christian County, Illinois, the son of George and Louise Poteet Finefrock. He served in the U. S. Army during WW II. He was an Area Supervisor for CIPS, working in Mattoon at the time of his retirement. He was a member of the V.F.W., American Legion and Elks all in Robinson. He married Margaret Elizabeth Yakey on June 12, 1955 in Shelbyville. She died on January 8, 2003.
Surviving are his daughter, Sarah Thomson and husband Ian of Duluth, GA; sister, Betty Altersberger and husband Tom of Pana; four grandchildren, Merrick, Tara, Jack and Dylan Thomson; and fifteen nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son, Donald Finefrock in 1960; and two sisters, Vivian Shoaff and Jean Siegert.
