Billy W Carroll

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 5, 2010 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville with Rev. E. Wade Helmkamp officiating. Visitation from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Wright Cemetery, Findlay, IL. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society or the American Lung Association.
Mr. Carroll was born on January 15, 1926 in Shelby County, IL, the son of John Henry and Letha Ann Walton Carroll. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WW II. Billy worked for the Oliver Corporation in Shelbyville for 19 years and then the Missouri Pacific Railroad until his retirement. He married Betty Lou Baucom on October 15, 1949. She died on March 31, 2005.
Surviving are his sons, John Carroll and wife Iris of Allenville, Jim Carroll of Findlay and Billy Carroll of Findlay; daughters, Vicky Carroll of Findlay and Becky Boyd and husband Bob of Shelbyville; sisters, Mary Dunaway, JoAnne Huber and husband Maurice and Pat Smart all of Shelbyville; 17 grandchildren; and 25 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty; brothers, Thomas W. and Richard D. Carroll; and two sons, Michael Wayne Carroll and Jeffrey Lynn Carroll.
