Bradley Wayne “Brad” Petska , 53, of Shelbyville, IL passed away at 3:50 p.m. Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at HSHS St. John’s Hospital, Springfield, IL.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 10, 2022 at Oak Hill Cemetery, Taylorville, IL, with Rev. John Largent officiating. Arrangements are by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL.

Brad was born on August 26, 1968 in Pana, IL, the son of Bruce Paul, Sr. and Dorothy (Pope) Petska.  He graduated from Shelbyville High School in the Class of 1986. Brad married Jackie Sue Smith on March 4, 2006. Brad worked as the deliveryman for the Shelbyville Eagle Newspaper. He enjoyed fishing and watching movies.

Brad is survived by his wife, Jackie; daughter, Cady Sanborn of Carbondale, IL; brothers; Bruce Petska of Janesville, WI, Bill Petska of Jefferson, WI, Bob Petska (Dawn) of Janesville, WI, and Brent Petska (Michele) of Shelbyville, IL; sister, Victoria Bowles (Tim) of Smyrna, TN; father-in-law, Larry Smith (Beth) of Mesa, AZ; sister-in-law, Marla Buttrey of Dunedin, FL; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; mother-in-law, Shelby Smith; brother-in-law, Ricky Smith; and nieces, Brittany Baker and Kara Petska.
