Brian A Buening

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 20, 2011 in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Strasburg, IL with Rev. Steven Becker officiating. Visitation from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Monday in the church and one hour before services on Tuesday. Burial will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Strasburg, IL. Memorials may be given to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Brian was born on May 7, 1976 in Effingham, Illinois, the son of Charles A. and Diane M. (Hartke) Buening. He graduated from Teutopolis High School in the Class of 1994 and earned his business degree from the University of Illinois- Springfield in 1998. Brian worked at Interstate Truck Repair in Effingham, where he was a service writer. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Strasburg and a life member of the NRA. Brian was an avid Green Bay Packers and St. Louis Cardinals fan. He enjoyed fishing, grilling out and spending time with his family and friends. He married Jennifer L. Reel on October 30, 2004 in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Strasburg.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer of Sigel, IL; parents, Charles and Diane Buening of Teutopolis, IL; brothers, Darin Buening of Dunlap, IL and Brad Buening of Fredericksburg, VA; brother-in-law, Richard Reel II and wife Keri of Strasburg; niece, Rosalyn Reel of Strasburg; IL and nephew, Kiefer Reel of Strasburg, IL; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alice and Joe Hartke and Walter and Eleanor Buening.
