Carl C. Fulford

Carl C. Fulford , 78, of Shelbyville, IL, passed away at 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 1, 2021, in his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, November 5, 2021 at Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL.  Memorial donations may be given to the family.

Carl was born on November 21, 1942 in Linton, IN, the son of Charles and Edna Fulford.  He graduated from Carlyle High School in 1960 and came to Shelbyville as a surveyor during the construction of Lake Shelbyville.  He married Betty L. Boarman on June 8, 1961.  Carl worked for Community Industries in Sullivan, Oliver Corporation in Shelbyville and retired from Norfolk and Southern Railroad in Decatur.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on old cars and spending time with his family.

Carl is survived by his wife, Betty; son, Steve Fulford (Rene) of Shelbyville, IL; five grandchildren, Sara James, Brittany Strohl, Kyle Strohl, Jordon Perry and Shyania Fulford; and six great grandchildren, Aubrie Dilley, Carter Dilley, Ky Strohl, Lennon Perry, Rylee Hardy and Raylan Allen.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Brenda Fulford; son, Chuck Fulford; infant daughter, Kathy Fulford and granddaughter, Jessica James.
