Carol L McCullough

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday in Howe & Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville with Rev. Mark Sanders officiating. Visitation from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday. Following cremation, burial will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville. Memorials may be given to Heartland Christian Village or American Diabetes Association.
Carol was born on July 5, 1932 in Deland, Illinois, the daughter of James Landrum and Grace Evalena Hoover Maden. She graduated from Deland High School. She was a Certified Nurse Aide at Shelby Memorial Hospital and the Shelby County Health Department. She also served as Activity Director at the Shelbyville Restorium. She later was a clerk for the True Value and Ace Hardware Stores in Shelbyville. Carol enjoyed coordinating the Josephine Richardson Senior Citizens Dinners for several years. She was a member of the Shelby Christian Church in Shelbyville. She married Charles Alexander McCullough on December 29, 1951 in Monticello. He died on September 8, 1981.
Surviving are her daughter, Debbie Daugherty of Shelbyville; sons, Steve McCullough and wife Melissa of Colorado Springs, CO and David McCullough and wife Tammy of Shelbyville; brother, Gaylord Maden and wife Delores of Monticello; four grandchildren, Brian Daugherty and wife Melissa, Brent Daugherty and wife Rachel and Kendyl and Carson McCullough all of Shelbyville; and two great grandchildren, Hannah and Hunter Daugherty.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles; daughter, Marcia Diane McCullough; brother, Herbert Maden; and sister, Virginia Maden.
