Caroljean Wagner , 78, of Findlay, IL, passed away at 8:55 a.m., Friday, December 2, 2022 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Decatur, IL.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at Howe & Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL with Pastor Mike Reynolds officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. – noon Tuesday in the funeral home.  Burial will be in Findlay Cemetery, Findlay, IL. Memorials may be given to the Downtown Memorial Park Fund in Findlay or Saving Orphaned Animals.

Caroljean was born on May 28, 1944 in Pana, IL, the daughter of Lee and Mary M. (Coughlin) Chaney. She graduated from Findlay High School in the Class of 1962.  Caroljean married Butch Wagner on June 9, 1962, and they were married for over 60 years. Caroljean and Butch owned Butch’s Station in Findlay, IL for many years. She was a member of First Christian Church of Findlay. Caroljean enjoyed cooking, baking pies, sewing, playing in the Bunco Club in Findlay, spending time with grandchildren and great grandchildren, Dax & Lydia, and “Family Night”.

Caroljean is survived by her husband, Butch; son, Scott Wagner (Connie) of Findlay, IL; daughter, Tracey Danneberger (Larry) of Lakewood, IL; sister, Suzie Long (Chuck) of Shelbyville, IL; sisters-in-law, Jackie Chaney of Shelbyville, IL, Cherron Buzzard (John) of Shelbyville, IL, Jacqueline Richardson (Sid) of Findlay, IL and Belinda Baker of Findlay, IL; brother-in-law, Stanley Wagner (Linda) of Windsor, IL: four grandchildren, Hailey Boehm (Zach), Mariah Wagner, Hannah Wagner, and Cole Danneberger; three step-grandchildren, Brian Danneberger (Jeri Ann), Craig Danneberger (Shauna), and Hannah Gillespie (Brandon); two great grandchildren, Dax & Lydia Boehm; and seven step-great grandchildren, Grady, Saige, Ace, & Joel Danneberger, Tate & Jessa Danneberger, and Brayson Gillespie.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Shirley Donald, Larry Chaney and Sharon Nees; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Wayne and Mona Wagner; and brothers-in-law, Gary Wagner and Butch Nees.
