Chad D Daniels
(April 25, 1972 – April 17, 2016)
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 21, 2016 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL with Pastor John Curtis officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Casual attire is requested. Burial will be in Gallagher Chapel Cemetery, Fancher, IL. Memorials may be given to the Cancer Care Specialists of Illinois for Patient Services or the Gary Sinise Foundation for Veterans.
Chad was born on April 25, 1972 in Decatur, IL, the son of Donald Eugene and Jacqueline Joy Knearem Daniels. He graduated from Shelbyville High School in the Class of 1990 and then attended diesel mechanic school in Wyoming, earning his diesel mechanic’s certificate. He worked in the maintenance department of International Paper in Shelbyville for 20 years and previously drove a semi for three years. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing, hunting, horseback riding and riding four wheelers. Chad also enjoyed slot car racing and participating in garden tractor pulls. He was a member of the NRA and will be remembered for his love of helping others.
He is survived by his father, Donald Daniels (Lorie Davis) of Henton, IL; mother, Jackie Storm (Larry) of Shelbyville, IL; sister, Rhonda Ator (Doug) of Dallas, TX; step-siblings, Kylene Davis Milligan of Westervelt, IL, Joren Davis (Alison) of Shelbyville, IL, Kenzie Davis of Shelbyville, IL and Bruce Storm of Alabama; nephews, Corey and Dylan Ator; and niece, Brittany Ator.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Thomas and Nellie Daniels; and his maternal grandparents, Richard and Lois McGinness.
