Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday in Gaskill Cemetery near Strasburg, with Rev. Kathy Lewis and Rev. Darrell Best officiating. Howe and Yockey Funeral Home in Strasburg is in charge of arrangements.
Surviving are his parents; maternal grandparents, Larry and Deborah Reel of Strasburg; paternal grandparents, Carla Thomas of Cowden and Burl Black of Mode; maternal great grandparents, Claude and Beverly Mose of Henton and Evelyn Reel of Strasburg; paternal great grandparents, Glenn Blackwell of Shelbyville, Karen and Richard White of Beecher City and Ronnie and Bonnie Thomas of Effingham; and aunts and uncles, Stephanie Mose of Westervelt, Tony Plough of Strasburg, Angie and Jason Edwards of Strasburg, Regina and Jeremy Shafer, Renea Reel and Bridget Reel all of Stewardson, Jeremy and Alexis Blackwell of Watson, Eric Thomas, Kyle Thomas and Wesley Thomas all of Beecher City.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Harold Thomas; and maternal great grandfather, Ervin Reel.
