Clark M Furr

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville with Rev. Lee Lovett officiating. Visitation from 4:00-7:30 p.m. Tuesday with Masonic rites at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will also be one hour before services on Wednesday. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville with military rites by the Shelby County Honor Guard. Memorials may be given to First United Methodist Church of Shelbyville or the Alzheimer’s Association.
Mr. Furr was born on January 8, 1930 in Shelby County, Illinois, the son of John M. and Amanda Wilson Furr. He graduated from Shelbyville High School in the Class of 1948. He was a Sergeant in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Clark was a lifelong farmer. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Shelbyville, V.F.W. Post # 4829, Jackson Masonic Lodge #53, Shelby County Farm Bureau and Shelby County Prime Timers. He also served on the Shelby County Soil and Water Conservation Board and the 4-H Fair Board. He married Shirley Elaine Dagen on March 15, 1957.
Surviving are his wife, Shirley; sons, Terry Furr and wife Pam and Mike Furr and fiancée Debbie Shaw all of Shelbyville; daughter, Tammy Ward and husband Greg of Findlay; sister, Marita Owens and husband Ralph of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Courtney Rowcliffe and husband Jared, Matthew and Lucas Furr, Kelsey Ward, Blake Furr and Elizabeth, Jessica and Sarah Shaw; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and many special friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; step-mother, Bertha; and brothers, George H. Furr and John Furr, Jr.
