Dale R Stivers

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday in Howe & Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville with Rev. Kathy Lewis and Rev. Robert Turner officiating. Visitation from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Monday. Burial will be in Traughber Cemetery, Moweaqua. Memorials may be given to Strasburg United Methodist Church or the First Church of the Nazarene of Shelbyville.
Mr. Stivers was born on April 8, 1930 in Radford, Illinois, the son of Harry and Amanda M. Silvius Stivers. He worked for AW Cash Valve in Decatur until his retirement. He was affiliated with the Strasburg United Methodist Church and a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Shelbyville. He enjoyed fishing, playing his guitar and making custom knives. He married Lottie B. Auvil on June 27, 1948.
Surviving are his wife, Lottie; sons, James Stivers and wife Sonja of Findlay, Terry Stivers and wife Linda of Ironton, Ohio and Steven Stivers and wife Rose of Wapella; sisters, Mary Jane McDonald of Shelbyville and Bonnie Kaigley of Decatur; six grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers; six sisters; and one granddaughter, Neely.
