Daniel Scott “Danny” Cutler , 68, of Charleston, IL, formerly of Findlay, IL, passed away at 6:37 pm Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Mattoon, IL.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2024, at Howe & Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL with Pastor Mike Reynolds officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, March 1, 2024, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL, with military rites by the Shelby County Honor Guard. Memorials may be given to Sarah Bush Lincoln Regional Cancer Center.

Danny was born on April 15, 1955 in Shelbyville, IL, the son of Lindy Lou and Doris Ilene (Wicker) Cutler. He graduated Findlay High School in the Class of 1973. He went on to serve his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. Daniel worked as an over the road truck driver for Shelby Transport Company and previously drove for Risinger Brothers and McCloud Express. Danny enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and granddogs, fishing, riding his motorcycle, sitting around the campfire and listening to music.

He is survived by his son, Scott Cutler and wife Deana of Stewardson, IL; daughters, Elizabeth “Beth” Cutler Perry and husband Kyle of Charleston, IL, and Alexandra “Alex” Cutler of Kincaid, IL; mother, Ilene Warfel (Dean) of Findlay, IL; brother, Robert Cutler (Rhonda) of Findlay, IL; sisters, Sandy Hedderman (Jim) of Oconee, IL and Pam Krutsinger of Pana, IL; and seven grandchildren, Mackenzi Webb, Jake Perry, Carsen Perry, Camden Perry, Paige Harris, Maverik Cutler and Adam Finks.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lindy Cutler.
