Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville with Rev. David Hudson officiating. Visitation from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Assumption, Illinois.
Memorials may be given to the First Church of the Nazarene in Pana or Shelbyville, American Cancer Society or the National Association for the Terminally Ill.
Mr. Hubner was born on May 5, 1947 in Pana, Illinois, the son of Homer and Marjorie Marie Brown Hubner. He graduated from Assumption High School in the Class of 1965. He was a dairy farmer and worked for International Paper in Shelbyville. Danny was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Shelbyville and attended the First Church of the Nazarene in Pana. He was an avid collector of farm toys. He married Nancy Mae Hudson on February 1, 1970.
Surviving are his wife, Nancy; sons, Bryan Hubner and wife Amy of Pekin and Jeff Hubner of Decatur; daughter, Melinda Elliott and husband Tom of Tower Hill; mother, Marjorie Hubner of Tower Hill; brothers, Steve Hubner and wife Brenda of Decatur and Rudy Hubner and wife Cheryl of Oreana; sister, Carolyn Corzine and husband Phil of Assumption; grandsons, Mitchell, Patton and Bradley Elliott; and granddaughters, Malydia Elliott and Sydney and Madison Hubner.
He was preceded in death by his father, Homer Hubner; and grandparents, A.J. and Effie Hubner and Ray and Edna Brown.
