Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 11, 2015 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL with Pastor Olen Evans officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Casual attire is requested. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL. Memorials may be given to Education Fund for Lillian and Joslyn Welton.
David was born on August 11, 1992 in Effingham, IL, the son of Glen C., Jr. and Kimberly Sue Bell Welton. He attended Shelbyville High School and was a member of the Class of 2010. David formerly worked for Butler Construction in Assumption, IL. He enjoyed fishing at the Kaskaskia River and area ponds.
He is survived by his daughters, Lillian Welton and Joslyn Welton both of Shelbyville, IL; father, Glen C. Welton, Jr. of Charleston, IL; mother, Kimberly Sue Welton of Shelbyville, IL; brother, Raymond “Ray” Welton of Mattoon, IL; sisters, Myah Welton of Shelbyville, IL and Theresa Welton of Vandalia, IL; grandparents; Brad and Christine Boldt of Kernersville, NC and Alice Marie Welton of Effingham, IL; great grandfather, Byrl Beckert of Effingham, IL; several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, and cousins; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Glen C. Welton, Sr.; and uncles, Jack, Ted, Mark and Donald Welton.
