Debra Kay Robertson , 63, of Shelbyville, IL, passed away at 7:12 a.m. Saturday, May 6, 2023 in her residence.

A Celebration of her Life will begin at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 25, 2023 at VFW Post #4829 in Shelbyville.  Burial will be at a later date in Ash Grove Cemetery, near Windsor.  Memorials may be given to Saving Orphaned Animals in Shelbyville and mailed to Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, 415 N. Broadway, Shelbyville, IL 62565.

Debra was born on September 27, 1959 in Shelbyville, IL the daughter of Darrell Leslie and Helen Marie (Askins) Matheny.  She graduated from Shelbyville High School in the Class of 1977.  Debra married Robin G. Robertson on May 20, 1995.  She was a member of the Ladies of the Moose and VFW Auxiliary both in Shelbyville.  In her retirement, Debra enjoyed walking her beloved dog, Oreo.

She is survived by her husband, Robin; sons, Tommy Matheny and Nicholas Shasteen both of Shelbyville, IL; five siblings, Mary Kresin (Jim) of Cowden, IL, Eva Reed (Richard) of Sullivan, IL, and Karen Allsop (John), Mike Matheny, and Lisa Swank (Ken) all of Shelbyville, IL; and six grandchildren, Madisyn Matheny, Alissa Shasteen, Caden Shasteen, Clarie Matheny, Isabella Matheny and Hunter Matheny.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Linda Smith; and brothers, Tommy Dale Judy and Clayton Matheny.
