Debra L Reed

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society and mailed to Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, 415 N. Broadway, Shelbyville, IL 62565.
Debra was born on June 6, 1951 in Shelbyville, IL, the daughter of August Roy and Barbara Jean (Walden) West. She graduated from Shelbyville High School in the Class of 1969. Debra married Daniel W. Reed on April 28, 1971. She was a volunteer firefighter and an EMT for the Stewardson Fire Department for many years. Debra was also the manager of the Burger King in Effingham, IL for 12 years. Most of all, she loved being a mom and a grandma.
She is survived by her husband, Dan; son, Travis Reed (Anna) of Shelbyville, IL; daughter, Dani Thomas of Clarksburg, IL; brother-in-law, Ronnie (Dee) Wicker of Shelbyville, IL; grandchildren, Aaron Thomas, Zac Tomas (Sydni Adams), Briana Reed (Mason Gifford), Michaela Thomas, Miranda Thomas, and Jacob Reed; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Mike Thomas; and sisters, Sandra Tolen and Cathy White.
