A visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m . Saturday, June 21, 2014 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL. Casual attire is requested. Memorials may be given to the family.
Debra was born on August 1, 1957 in Shelbyville, IL, the daughter of Lawrence W. and Winifred Josephine Reed Bly, Jr. She attended Shelbyville High School and worked locally as a Nurse’s Aide at Shelbyville Manor. She enjoyed camping and reading.
She is survived by her husband, Gary Jacobs; children, Tonya Jacobs (Tommy Melton) of Taylorville, IL, Gary Jacobs (Cassandra) of St. James, MO, and Joshua Jacobs of Salem, MO; sisters, Marcia Prather (Robert) and Carol Dilley (Gene) all of Shelbyville, IL; grandchildren, Gage Melton, Meriah Melton, Gabby Jacobs, Brady Melton and Julia Jacobs; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved dachshund, Schooby.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, David, Darrell and Larry Bly; and sister, Pamela Jo Carter.
