Delores Joan West, 76, of Shelbyville, passed away at 7:22 p.m. on Friday, January 2, 2009 in Memorial Medical Center, Springfield.
At the request of Delores, there will be no visitation or services. Arrangements are by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home in Shelbyville.
Delores was born on January 5, 1932 in Shelbyville, the daughter of Lloyd “Tiger” and Irene Curry West. After graduating from high school, she worked for Phil Turner Law Office, Secretary of State’s Office in Springfield, Shelbyville Restorium and Mike’s as a cook until her retirement.
She is survived by Ron and Mary Jo Curry and their children, many friends and good neighbors.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
