Donald Duane Oates, 79, of Shelbyville, IL, died at 5:45 a.m. Monday, September 8, 2014 in Shelbyville Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, Shelbyville, IL.
In keeping with Donald’s wishes, no services will be held. Arrangements are by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL. Memorials may be given to the Shelbyville High School Bass Fishing Team or Shelbyville Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
Donald was born on December 13, 1934 in Taylorville, IL, the son of Leo Donald and Bertha Jacobs Oates. He worked for P & H Manufacturing in Shelbyville until his retirement and was an avid fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
