Donald J Vojta

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home in Shelbyville with Father Don Wolford officiating. Visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Richland Cemetery, Strasburg, Illinois. Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Donald was born on April 16, 1937 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Joseph Francis and Maria Grethen Vojta. He graduated from Lane Tech High School in 1955 and then attended DeVry Technical School both in Chicago. He was an electronics technician with Zenith Electronics in Chicago for 22 years. He retired and moved to rural Strasburg in 2004.
Surviving are his companion, Debra Ann Ferguson of Strasburg; and two brothers, Joseph F. Vojta and wife Yori of Homer Glen, IL and Kenneth Allen Vojta and wife Shirl of Rocky Pointe, NC.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
