Donald Lee Everett, 46, of Stewardson, died at 9:47 a.m. Thursday, February 21, 2013 in Deaconess Hospital, Evansville, IN.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 26, 2013 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville with Rev. Greg Breeden officiating. Visitation from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Stewardson Cemetery, Stewardson, IL. Memorials may be given to the Education Fund for his children.

Don was born on April 6, 1966 in Shelbyville, IL, the son of Enfer Dale and Mary Frances Brown Everett. He graduated from Stewardson-Strasburg High School in the Class of 1984. Don was a machine operator for International Paper in Shelbyville for over 25 years. He also helped his father and several neighbors on their farms. Don could do a little bit of everything and enjoyed helping his family and neighbors with their projects. He was affiliated with the First Church of the Nazarene in Shelbyville and also helped the Community Organization Working for Stewardson (C.O.W.S.) and Stewardson Lions Club with their projects. He recently joined the Volunteer Fire Department in Stewardson along with his son, Logan. Don enjoyed following his children’s activities and always made time to be there. He married Patty Kay Clarey on August 20, 1988 in Shelbyville.

He is survived by his wife, Patty; sons, Taylor Lee Everett of Effingham and Logan Anthony Everett at home; daughter, Madison Kay Clarey Everett at home; parents, Dale and Mary Everett of Strasburg; grandmother, Mildred Everett of Strasburg; brother, Enfer Dale Everett, Jr. and wife Katrina of Strasburg; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Firmer and Darlene Clarey of Shelbyville; brother-in-law, Anthony Clarey and wife Amy of Shelbyville; and nephews, Stephen Everett of Strasburg, and Jake and Adam Clarey of Shelbyville.

He was preceded in death by one child in infancy; paternal grandfather, Enfer A. Everett; and maternal grandparents, C.W. “Ted” and Frances Brown.
