Donald Eugene “Donnie” Neal, 60, of Shelbyville, IL, passed away at 10:28 a.m. Monday, July 26, 2021 in St. John’s Hospital, Springfield, IL.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 31, 2021 in the Blyman Addition of Glenwood Cemetery in Shelbyville, IL with Rev. Kevin Ray officiating.  Casual attire is requested. Memorials may be given to the First Christian Church of Shelbyville or the Moose Lodge #1294 Building Fund.  Arrangements are by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL.

Donnie was born on August 20, 1960 in Decatur, IL, the son of Oakley Eugene “Gene” and Gracie Dean (Reeves) Neal.  He graduated from Shelbyville High School in the Class of 1978.  Donnie was co-owner of Neal’s Body Shop and Towing in Shelbyville, IL.  He was a member of the First Christian Church, ABATE, Moose Lodge #1294, and Jackson Masonic Lodge #53 all of Shelbyville, IL.  Donnie was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers.  He enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle and restoring his 1970 Plymouth convertible.

He is survived by his mother, Gracie Neal of Shelbyville, IL; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gene Neal; and sister, Patricia Neal.
