Donna K Howard
(February 21, 1949 – June 28, 2009)
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 4, 2009 in the First Church of the Nazarene in Shelbyville with Rev. Robert Turner officiating. Visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will be at a later date in Mt. Zion Cemetery, near Shelbyville. Howe and Yockey Funeral Home in Shelbyville is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.
Donna was born on February 21, 1949 in Decatur, Illinois, the daughter of Royce D. and Charlotte Lavonne Owens Compton. She graduated from Shelbyville High School in the Class of 1967 and Sparks Business College in Shelbyville. She was an administrative assistant to the Vice President of Witco in Des Plaines, IL. Donna was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene of Shelbyville. She married William H. Howard on October 7, 1998 in Elk Grove Village, IL.
Surviving are her husband, Bill; father, Royce Compton of Shelbyville; step-son, Michael (Amy) Howard of Palatine, IL; step-daughter, Elizabeth (Joe) Jimmerson of Fruitland, MD; brothers, Glen (Marlene) Compton of Winthrop Harbor, IL and Alan (Jill) Compton of Bloomington, IL; step-grandchildren, Cheyanne, Alexandria and Sydney Jimmerson of Fruitland, MD and Katherine Howard of Palatine, IL; and nieces and nephews, Aaron (Mallory) Compton of Mason, OH, Blake Compton of Frankfort, MI, Courtney (Ben) Ward of Zion, IL, Laura (Kirk) Lampert of Hudson, IL and Ashley Compton of St. Louis, MO.
She was preceded in death by her mother on November 16, 2008.
