Doris E Brown-Jordan

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday in Howe & Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville with Rev. Barbara Stroud-Borth officiating. Visitation from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville. Memorials may be given to the donor’s choice.

Doris was born on June 21, 1924 in rural Shelbyville, the daughter of Ross and Gussie Rittgers Pierce. She worked at Ace Hardware in Shelbyville for many years. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church of Shelbyville. She married Ray Brown, Jr. on August 11, 1946. He died on October 1, 1982. She married John H. Jordan on December 29, 1990. He died on June 23, 1992.

Surviving are her daughters, Patricia Kensil of Shelbyville, Karen Wiley and husband Michael of Williamsville and Teresa Roberts and husband Brad of Shelbyville; brothers, Roger Pierce and wife Jackie of Shelbyville and Richard Pierce and wife Diane of Independence, MO; sister, Shirley Pfeiffer of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Justin Roberts and wife Shayla of Shelbyville, Carissa Brownback of Williamsville, Jennifer Wiley of Springfield, Andrea Brownback and fiancé Thomas Wallis of Findlay and Alex Wiley of Williamsville; and great grandchildren, Ethan Brownback of Williamsville, Aleah Wallis of Findlay and Madison Roberts of Shelbyville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; brothers, Leon and John Pierce; and sister, Frances Hebenstreit.
