Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 13, 2013 in the Arcola Township Cemetery, Arcola, IL with Rev. Don Winch officiating. Visitation from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL. Dorothy was born on May 10, 1938 in Charleston, MO, the daughter of Earl and Pearl Latimore Twitty. She graduated from Windsor High School in the Class of 1956. Dorothy was a keypunch operator for the State of Illinois Driver’s License Facility in Springfield for many years. She loved flowers and later worked for several years in the greenhouses at Shelby County Community Services in Shelbyville. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Shelbyville.
She is survived by her daughter, Kim Kersey and husband Kory of Taylorville; son, Shannon Ruff and wife Rhonda of Shelbyville; sister, Shari Latch and husband Harland of Mattoon; brother-in-law, Ralph Hughes of Arcola; and five grandchildren, Kyler, Kody and Kolten Kersey all of Taylorville and Briana and Brayden Ruff of Shelbyville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Mary Ann Hughes.
