Dorothy M Weber

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 25, 2017 in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Strasburg, IL with Rev. Steven Becker officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Strasburg, IL and one hour before services on Wednesday in the church. Burial will be in Grace Cemetery, Strasburg, IL. Memorials may be given to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Strasburg, IL.

Dorothy was born on February 18, 1939 in Shumway, IL the daughter of William and Hester A. (Barker) Heiden. She was a graduate of Stewardson-Strasburg High School in the Class of 1957 and Sparks Business College in Shelbyville, IL. Dorothy was a secretary for the Oliver Corporation in Shelbyville, IL, worked for her brother Carl at the Coast to Coast Hardware Store in Effingham, IL and was a devoted wife and mother. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Strasburg. Dorothy married Michael T. Weber on January 14, 1961. They enjoyed traveling and taking trips to Tennessee. He died on October 24, 2011.

She is survived by her sons, Steven M. Weber and wife Sharon of Strasburg, IL and Thomas K. Weber of Avon, IN; sister, Marie Ruwe of Springfield, IL; brother-in-law, Jim Bales of Sullivan, IL; sisters-in-law, Cathy Heiden of Effingham, IL and Peggy Weber of Bloomington, IL; and three grandchildren, Kelsey Weber of Windsor, IL, Zachary Weber of Strasburg, IL and Garrett Weber of Avon, IN.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Michael; brother, Carl Heiden; sister, Melba Bales; and brothers-in-law, David L. Weber and Leon Ruwe.
