Edna Mae Corley , 80, of Decatur, formerly of Shelbyville, IL, passed away at 4:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 14, 2023 in Heritage Manor in Mt. Zion, IL.

Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Friday, February 17, 2023 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, 415 N. Broadway, Shelbyville, IL.  A memorial service will follow the visitation at 11:00 a.m. Friday in the funeral home with Pastor Tim Bycroft officiating.  A luncheon will be held at Shelby Christian Church, Shelbyville, immediately following the memorial service. After the luncheon, at 2:00 p.m., there will be a procession to Price Cemetery in rural Herrick, IL. Memorials may be given to Lincoln Christian University, Lincoln, IL.

Edna was born on June 29, 1942 on a farm near Ramsey, IL, and was raised there by her father, Ova T. England, and her aunt, Ethel England.  She graduated from Ramsey High School and attended Lincoln Bible Institute in Lincoln, IL.  She married Dennis N. Corley on July 29, 1960 in Herrick, IL.  She and her husband, Dennis, started the Payson Road Christian Church (The Crossing) in Quincy, IL and later the North Point Christian Church in Winthrop Harbor, IL.  Edna served as the church secretary at both churches.  She previously worked as a legal secretary in Lincoln, IL, in a flower shop in Quincy, and the Olympia school cafeteria, but most of all, she was a loving mother to her children.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis; daughters, Tammy Veselsky (Dan) of Noblesville, IN, Tarita Fry (Butch) of Shelbyville, IL and Traci Niccolls (Richard) of Grand Prairie, TX; brother, T.  Ross England (Judy) of Louisiana; sisters-in-law, Bev England of Tampa, FL and Genelle Horn of Moweaqua, IL; six grandchildren, Brook Hughes (David) of Noblesville, IN, Mason Veselsky (Abigail) of Anderson, IN, Austin Cripe (Kelsey) of St. Charles, MO, Leah Niccolls of Cleburne, TX, Lauren Moughon (Mason) of Grand Prairie, TX and Joshua Niccolls (Grace) of Arlington, TX; and three great grandchildren, Colter Cripe, Everett Hughes and Hudson Hughes.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ova; her aunt, Ethel; daughter, Twyla Corley; brothers, Robert England and Alvin England (Irene); sisters-in-law, Connie England and Carlene Corley; and brother-in-law, Chester D. Horn.
