Eileen E McCabe

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, June 5, 2010 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville. Visitation one hour before services. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville. Memorials may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Eileen was born on December 11, 1928 in Shelbyville, IL, the daughter of Cornelius Edward “Neal” and Juanita Phelps McMonigle. She graduated from Shelbyville High School in the Class of 1946. Eileen was a member of House of Expectancy Full Gospel Church in Shelbyville. She married Homer Russell McCabe on February 14, 1948. He died on June 6, 2005.
Surviving are her son, Bradley Russell McCabe (Linda) of Springdale, AR; daughter, Monica Lei Zachary (Jerry) of Champaign; four grandchildren, Jessica McCabe Hicks (Bill) of Houston, TX, Leigh Ann McCabe Vega (Edwardo) of Springdale, AR, Blake Winston Zachary of Washington, DC and Alainna Marie Zachary of Chicago, IL; and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Homer; and grandson, Tyler Russell McCabe.
