Elvin Donelson
(January 22, 1960 – August 23, 2014)
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 27, 2014 in the Bluff Addition of Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL with Rev. Cletus Hicks officiating. Arrangements are by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL. Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Elvin was born on January 22, 1960 in Shelbyville, IL, the son of Donald Joseph and Pearl Helen Whitehead Donaldson.
He is survived by his mother, Pearl H. Donaldson of Shelbyville, IL; brothers, Joe Donelson of Shelbyville, IL and David Donaldson of Effingham, IL; sisters, June Doneldson of Shelbyville, IL and Ann Conlin of Shelbyville, IL; several nieces and nephews including special nieces, Nancy Ann Black of Shelbyville, IL and Mary Leona Black of Mode, IL; and many great nieces and nephews including six he considered as his grandchildren, Brady, Austin, Gracie and Paige Binnion and Unity and Abby Black.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald J. Donaldson; brother, Donnie Donaldson; and sister, Mary Goodrich.
