Enfer A Everett
(February 15, 1919 – April 13, 2008)

Enfer A. Everett, 89, of Strasburg, died at 11:26 p.m. Sunday, April 13, 2008 in Heartland Christian Village, Neoga, Illinois.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday in First Church of the Nazarene in Shelbyville with Rev. Greg Breeden and Rev. Bob Turner officiating. Visitation from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville and one hour before services Thursday in the church. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, near Shelbyville. Memorials may be given to Heartland Christian Village, Neoga.

Mr. Everett was born on February 15, 1919 in Effingham County, Illinois, the son of William Carpentar and Nancy Leoma Westfall Everett. He was a farmer and also worked for the Oliver Corporation in Shelbyville and Blaw-Knox in Mattoon before his retirement. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene of Shelbyville. He married Mildred Kater on February 27, 1941.

Surviving are his wife, Mildred; sons, Enfer Dale Everett and wife Mary and Norman Wayne Everett and wife Karen all of Strasburg; grandchildren, Enfer Dale, Jr. and wife Katrina of Strasburg, Donald Everett and wife Patty of Stewardson, Kimberly Mettendorf and husband Daniel of Stewardson, Carmen Mars and husband Monte of Strasburg, Derek Everett of Strasburg; great grandchildren, Stephen Everett of Strasburg, Taylor, Logan and Madison Everett all of Stewardson, Kiley and Haley Mettendorf both of Stewardson, Kelsi and Colton Anderson both of Strasburg; sister, Hilda Murrell and husband Nathan of Potomac, Illinois; a host of nieces, nephews and step-nieces and nephews; brothers-in-law, Gordon Kater and wife Juanita of Shelbyville and Bernard Kater and wife Ruth of Pleasant Hope, Missouri; and sisters-in-law, Opal Hanley of McLeansboro, Ruth Busey of Ivesdale and Lucille Busey of Urbana.

He was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Delbert Busey; brothers, Loren, Renes and John Everett; sisters, Rhuhama Hardy and Erma Everett; step-brothers, Rollin, Kenneth and Royal Busey; and step-sister, Arthena Kullman.
