Ermajean Eversole, 94, of Shelbyville, IL, passed away at 1:03 a.m. Thursday, October 21, 2021 in Shelbyville Manor.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 23, 2021 in Glenwood Cemetery (Section B), Shelbyville, IL with Rev. Linda Trent officiating.   Arrangements are by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL.  Memorials may be given to Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church or the Food Pantry at the First United Methodist Church in Shelbyville, IL and mailed to Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, 415 N. Broadway, Shelbyville, IL 62565.

Ermajean was born on May 14, 1927 in Macon County, IL, the daughter of Otis and Gladys (Epps) Hodges.  She attended Westervelt High School.  Ermajean married David Eugene “Dutch” Eversole on October 17, 1946.   She was a farm wife and enjoyed living on the farm.  She also enjoyed fishing, being outdoors, working in her yard, attending her grandchildren’s sporting events and going to country music shows with her husband, Dutch.  Ermajean was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church and a former member of Grace United Methodist Church of Westervelt and Westervelt Christian Church.

She is survived by her children, Janice Shonkwiler and husband Paul Dewayne of Decatur, IL, Orville Eugene “Buster” Eversole and wife Becky of Shelbyville, IL and Sandra Patterson and husband Gary of Shelbyville, IL; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents; step-mother, Faye Snyder Hodges; husband, Dutch, on June 24, 2013; brothers, Larry Hodges (Karen) and Dale Hodges (Ellen); sister, Wilma Stremming (Kenneth); and granddaughter, Brandy Lynn Eversole Davis.
