Ernest Freeman

Private family services will be held at Howe and Yockey Funeral Home in Shelbyville, IL. Burial will be in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida. Memorials may be given to the Windsor Peace Meal Senior Nutrition Program.
Ernest was born on June 25, 1933, in Bennettsville South Carolina, the son of Wylie M. and Mamie (Campbell) Freeman. He married Betty Fay Lovely. They enjoyed 59 years of marriage. Ernest served in the United States Air Force and retired after 22 years of service.
Ernest is survived by his grandchildren, Kristin Heinz (David) of Windsor, IL, Jessica Stovall, Jeremy Polgar, Nick Polgar, Alex and Andrew Cabanas, Justin, Joshua and Marissa Freeman, and Kari and Sean Freeman.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty; sons, Ernest D. Freeman, Bobby Freeman, and Ronnie Freeman; daughters, Beverly Stovall, and Barbara Cabanas; brothers, Marion and Frank Freeman; and sisters, Josephine Berry and Sarah Margaret Floyd.
