Eula M Shattuck

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday April 30, 2016 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL. Visitation from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Saturday. Burial is immediately following the service at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Shelbyville. Eula was born in Shelbyville, Illinois on April 14, 1927, to Leverette and Della Compton. Eula was united in Holy Matrimony to Reverend Grant Shattuck on August 24, 1952 at Mt. Zion Methodist Church, in Illinois. This union was blessed with three children, Susan, Steve and Ruth.
Eula and her husband Grant served together in ministry as pastor and wife for a total of 42 years in Michigan, Montana, Iowa, Wisconsin, Indiana and finally retiring in 1998 to Michigan. Eula loved to plan ministry events for women and took her role as a pastor’s wife very seriously with much compassion and joy.
Eula is preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers, as well as her beloved daughter Susan Adella Dondlinger.
Eula is survived by her husband, Grant of Cedar Springs, MI; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Barbara Shattuck of Cedar Springs, MI; daughter, Ruth Arteaga of Santa Maria, CA; son-in-law, Michael Dondlinger of Cedarburg, WI; brother, Paul Compton, of Shelbyville, IL; and five beloved grandchildren as well as numerous nephews and nieces.
