Eva Mae Johnson
(April 15, 1930 – June 10, 2009)
Private family graveside services will be held on Friday afternoon, June 12, 2009, in Findlay Cemetery, Findlay, Illinois. Arrangements are by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home in Shelbyville. Memorials may be given to the Westervelt High School Reunion Fund or Donor’s Choice.
Mrs. Johnson was born on April 15, 1930 in rural Windsor, Illinois, the daughter of Eli Wallers and Martha Ann Bodine Skidmore. She grew up in the Westervelt area and graduated from Findlay High School in the Class of 1949. Eva loved country music, cooking and sewing for her family, and spending time with her family and friends. She married Robert S. Johnson on November 20, 1951.
Surviving are her husband, Robert; son, Willie Johnson of Findlay, IL and fiancée Karen Voyles; daughters, Roberta Johnson of Shelbyville, IL, Joan Foster and husband Keith of Wabash, IN and Lynda Johnson of Effingham, IL; grandchildren, Amanda Foster of Alexandria, VA and Austin Foster of Muncie, IN; and great granddaughters, Shae and Bryn both of Indianapolis, IN.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eli and Martha Skidmore; son and daughter (twins), Donald Johnson and Donna Johnson; and granddaughter, Heaven Leigh Foster.
